The first song painting I did was "By Dark Of Night I Dropped The Ring Into A Well", from an old Porter Wagoner song, "The Carroll County Accident", a great story telling song. Soon after, I did a series of paintings inspired by a Johnny Cash version of "The Wreck Of The Old 97", a favorite of mine when I was around 14.
